Resinous with a lighter green aroma. Grown in India, used heavilly in Ayurvedic medicine. and is mentioned in classical Ayurvedic texts from 700 BC for antiarthritic properties along with being used for skin, blood and cardiovascular diseses, dysentery, bronchitis and asthma among other conditions. Anti inflammatory, analgesic, may help with blood lipids and may help protect the liver. As with other frankincense species, it is valued for its mind calming property, useful for spiritual practices such as meditation.
